Handmade Production & Lead Times

All cushions are handmade to order in my Cotswolds studio. Current lead time: 2–4 weeks.

This timeframe allows for small‑batch production and occasional fabric delays from suppliers. If a fabric delivery is delayed, I will email you as soon as I’m aware.

Some ready‑made items may be available for faster dispatch, and in these cases your order may arrive in separate parcels.

Shipping (UK Mainland)

  • Standard Delivery: £4.95

  • Free Delivery: Orders over £50

  • Most parcels are shipped via Royal Mail or other trusted couriers.

  • Once dispatched, please allow 3–5 working days for delivery.

Tracking

  • Orders under £50 are sent via standard delivery.

  • Orders over £50 include tracking.

  • Orders over £100 are sent via an insured service.

If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 14 days of dispatch, please contact me and I will investigate or resend your order.

International Shipping

International shipping is available for fabric items only (cushion covers, table linens, etc.). I cannot ship cushion inserts, breakables, or bulky items overseas.

International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes, which are the responsibility of the customer.

At this time, I am unable to ship to the EU due to current regulations.

PLEASE NOTE overseas orders are non eligible for returns.

Returns & Exchanges (UK Only)

If your item isn’t quite right, please email returns@alterme.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging.

  • Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.

  • Refunds are processed within 10 working days of receiving the return.

  • Refunds cover the item cost only (shipping is non‑refundable).

Exclusions

The following items are non‑returnable unless faulty:

  • Sale items

  • Fabric swatches

  • Made‑to‑order items such as:

    • Curtains

    • Blinds

    • Bench seat cushions

    • Custom sizes

    • Dresses (exchange for credit note only)

If an item is faulty, please email help@alterme.co.uk within 14 days and I will repair, replace, or refund it.

Cancellations

Because each item is handmade to order, orders cannot be cancelled once fabric has been ordered or cut.

Alterme Home reserves the right to cancel an order if a fabric becomes unavailable or if there are supplier issues. In this case, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund.

Important Information

All of our fabrics are printed in small batches, which means there may be slight shade variations between different print runs. If you are ordering matching products at different times, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match. To avoid disappointment, we recommend ordering all matching items together where possible.

Please ensure you have read our full terms and conditions before placing an order. Alterme Home reserves the right to update or amend these policies when required.
