Opening Hours
A gentle guide to when you can expect to hear from the studio.
Although Alterme Home is an online‑only studio, our opening hours provide a clear guideline for communication across email and Instagram.
Customer service hours are: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (UK time)
I always aim to reply within 48 hours during these times. Messages received on Saturdays or Sundays will be responded to within 24 hours of reopening on Monday.
To ensure my reply reaches you, please add info@alterme.co.uk to your contacts so messages do not fall into junk or spam folders.
Owner & Founder, Jasmine
Every Alterme Home piece is handmade by Jasmine in her Cotswolds studio. She personally manages each part of the process — from sewing and sourcing fabrics to styling spaces, capturing imagery, editing the website and running the brand’s creative direction. This hands‑on approach is what makes Alterme Home unique, and it also means delivery times are a little longer than larger retailers. Each order is crafted with intention, care and time.
Frequently Asked Questions
A curated collection of answers to the questions I’m most often asked.
Are your products in stock and ready to ship?
Most Alterme Home pieces are handmade to order, allowing me to craft each item with care and intention. Some décor items may be in stock and can arrive sooner than sewn items in your order.
How long will my order take?
Because each item is made by hand, please allow 2–4 weeks for production. During busier periods (launches, holidays, restocks), this may take a little longer — but I’ll always aim to keep you informed.
Can I request a faster turnaround?
If you need your order by a specific date, feel free to reach out. I’ll always do my best to accommodate where possible.
Where are your products made?
All soft furnishings are handmade in my studio in the Cotswolds countryside, UK.
Do you offer custom sizes or fabric requests?
Yes — I’m always happy to create made‑to‑measure pieces or source specific fabrics. You’re welcome to get in touch for bespoke orders or requestfabric samples before purchasing.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Yes — returns and exchanges are available on eligible items. Return postage is covered by the buyer, and items must be sent back in their original condition within 14 days of delivery.
Full details can be found on theReturns page.
Are made‑to‑order items refundable?
Made‑to‑order pieces are created individually for you and are therefore non‑refundable. If you need to amend or cancel your order, please contact me within 48 hours of purchase.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — I ship cushion covers and table linens internationally. Breakables and feather inserts cannot be shipped outside the UK.
International orders are not eligible for returns, and customers are responsible for any duties or import taxes.
Which couriers do you use?
UK orders are usually shipped via Royal Mail, with occasional DPD or ParcelForce for larger parcels. International orders are shipped via DHL.
Can I track my order?
Tracking is included on all orders over £30. You’ll receive a tracking link once your parcel has been dispatched.
What if my parcel hasn’t arrived?
If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 14 days of dispatch, please contact me and I’ll investigate or resend your order.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Please contact me within 48 hours with photographs of the issue. I’ll resolve this promptly and arrange a replacement where possible.
Will my items match if I order separately?
Many of my fabrics are woven and dyed in small artisanal batches, which means subtle shade variations can occur between one production run and the next. If you’re ordering items intended to match — such as multiple cushion covers, curtains or bench seat cushions — I recommend placing the order at the same time so they can be made from the same fabric batch.
Batch‑to‑batch shade differences are a natural characteristic of small‑batch textile production.
Can I change my order after placing it?
If you need to amend your order, please contact me within 48 hours. After this time, work may have begun and changes may not be possible.
Do cushion covers come with inserts?
Cushion covers are sold without inserts unless stated otherwise. Feather inserts are available for UK customers only. You have the option on each product page to select ‘add feather insert’ when ordering.
How do I care for my cushions and linens?
Most fabrics should be spot‑cleaned only and kept away from direct sunlight to preserve colour. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask — or visit the Care Instructions page for guidance.
Can I order fabric samples?
Yes — fabric samples are available for most collections. You can request them via the Fabric Swatches page.
Do you offer gift notes or discreet packaging?
Yes — gift notes can be added to your order, and discreet packaging is available upon request.
Do you offer wholesale or trade orders?
Yes — Alterme Home is open to new stockists, boutiques and interior retailers. If you’re interested in carrying Alterme Home pieces in your store, please get in touch — I’d love to hear about your space and discuss wholesale options, minimums and lead times.
For trade or stockist enquiries, please email: info@alterme.co.uk
Do you work with interior designers?
Yes — I regularly create custom pieces for interior designers. You’re welcome to reach out to discuss projects, timelines and fabric sourcing.
Can I order a matching set?
Absolutely — matching sets can be created for cushions, bench pads, curtains and table linens. Ordering all items together ensures they are made from the same fabric batch.
