Made‑to‑Order Craftsmanship
Many Alterme Home pieces are created especially for you. Each cushion or linen is sewn in our studio with care, a process that can take up to 4 weeks. This slower pace is intentional — it ensures every stitch, seam and finish meets our standard of quiet luxury.
Bespoke items are produced individually and are therefore non‑refundable. If you need to amend or cancel your order, please contact us within 48 hours of purchase. After this time, work may have begun and cancellations are no longer possible.

In‑Stock Items
A curated selection of ready‑to‑ship pieces — typically throws, decorative accents and non‑sewn items — may leave the studio sooner, usually within 3–5 working days.
Stock levels are not listed on product pages, but any item available for immediate dispatch will be sent as promptly as possible.

Complimentary UK Delivery on Orders Over £100
As a one‑woman studio, same‑day shipping is not available, ensuring each piece receives the attention it deserves.

Orders under £30 are sent via standard delivery.
Orders over £30 include tracking.
Orders over £100 are sent via an insured service.
If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 14 days of dispatch, please contact me and I will investigate or resend your order.
International Shipping
We are pleased to offer international delivery to most countries listed at checkout for cushion covers and table linens. Breakables and feather inserts cannot be shipped outside the UK.
International shipping is calculated at checkout and excludes taxes and duty charges — these are the responsibility of the customer. International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes.
At this time, I am unable to ship to Ireland due to current regulations.
PLEASE NOTE: Overseas orders are not eligible for returns.
Delivery Frequently Asked Questions

All cushions are handmade to order in my Cotswolds studio. Current lead time: 2–4 weeks. This timeframe allows for small‑batch production and occasional fabric delays from suppliers. If a fabric delivery is delayed, I will email you as soon as I’m aware.

Most parcels are shipped via Royal Mail, with occasional DPD or ParcelForce for larger shipments. Once dispatched, please allow 3–5 working days for delivery.

We ship cushion covers and table linens internationally using DHL, our trusted global courier.
International parcels travel on passenger aircraft, and for security reasons DHL is required to open, check and repack all items before they board the flight. This process is carried out by DHL security and is entirely outside of our control.
We always pack your order neatly and securely, but because of these mandatory checks, your parcel may not arrive exactly as it left our studio. Rest assured, the contents remain protected throughout its journey.
